Beer Batter Bread
Quick and easy, no rise and only 5 ingredients! The best bread for dunking.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 12 oz can beer
- (optional) seasonings for topping – garlic salt, pepper, parsley, Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Slowly add the beer and stir until everything is incorporated.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle your favorite herbs and seasoning on top. Bake for about 50 minutes or until the bread is golden on top.
Notes
This is a dense bread that is excellent for dipping in soups or sauces.
You can add cheddar, onions, jalapeños or whatever else you can think of to the batter if you like. I occasionally add a half cup of shredded cheddar to the batter and sprinkle a little on top when the bread is almost done baking.
