G3 Ranch Beef Stew
A perfect fall or winter crockpot recipe!
Equipment
- 1 crockpot
Ingredients
- 1 lb stew meat
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1/2 large onion, diced
- 3/4 cup peas (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1 tsp parsley
- 2 bay leaves (remove before serving)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (add just enough water to make a thin slurry before adding to broth)
Instructions
- Prep potatoes and vegetables by washing and dicing.
- Dump everything into a crockpot, adding the cornstarch last. Before adding the cornstarch, put it in a small bowl and add a tiny bit of water, just enough to turn it into a thin liquid before adding it to the crockpot and stirring well. If you don't stir the cornstarch into a small amount of water before adding it, it will just sit in little chunks in the stew rather than thickening it.
- Stir everything well. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours. Remove the bay leaves before serving. Serve and enjoy!
