Butter Swim Biscuits
Our favorite biscuits! Skip the biscuit cutter and bake them up in a skillet or pan. These biscuits are literally swimming in butter, making them have the most delicious, crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, melted in the pan
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 4 tsp sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°. Prep 10" cast iron skillet or 9×9 pan with butter.
- Place pan with butter in oven to melt while you mix the biscuit dough.
- In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients together.
- Stir in milk or buttermilk until just combined.
- Swirl melted butter onto sides of the pan, place the dough into the melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits are golden.
- Cut into wedges or squares and serve. Enjoy!
Notes
**Whip up a batch of sausage gravy for amazing biscuits and gravy or enjoy the biscuits with some jam.
